Trouble getting started with Python V20

Forex Forums | OANDA fxTrade - fxtrade.oanda.com
Hi Oandians,

I'm having a frustrating time trying to start my first practice account Python script. One of the code samples I tried failed on the ‘import requests’ line. It acts like the ‘requests’ module does not exist. To try some of the suggested GitHub code, I tried installing the oandapy content from GitHub.com, but the "pip install git+" command fails saying it cannot find a git file. Removing the ‘git from the front and back of the command doesn’t work either.

So far, the only thing that works is the part where I specify the Domain, Environment, Access Token, and Account ID.

Can someone suggest a simple command line I can use to see if I can talk to the API, like an instrument price code line or something?

Thanks.
