Any BHs Had Experience With the Honda Fit?

Back in March I posted that I was planning to get my college grad daughter a car after graduation.

I got a lot of good comments, including this from ValueThinker:

Certain cars are just too small/ nippy. Fiat 500. Honda Jazz/ Fit. Swatch.

Young women might like them for the appeal and easy parking, etc. but North American cars are big, even in Manhattan I saw lots of SUVs-- an SUV hits you and you will be toast.

Well, wouldn't you know it - the Honda Fit is at the top of her list.

I'm wondering if anyone has had experience with this car? I know it's small, but I'm not sure how much of a safety factor that really is, or how to evaluate this.

Has anyone on the board had any experience with this car and be interested in describing their experience with it, including issues with its size/safety?
