Emergency Fund: 1 Yr. Cash/CD
Retirement Accounts (401K/IRA): Maxed out
Child Education: Maxed out
Tax Bracket: 33%
I asked Fidelity advisor how do I invest $100K ($50K/annum additions) in taxable account for 5-7 year investment horizon; largely as car purchase and house upgrade in future. I don't foresee withdrawing from this account as I already have enough emergency funds in cash/CDs for that.
100% FTANX (Fidelity Asset Manager 30% - ER 0.6)
List of 10 fidelity funds making 30% Stocks, 50% Bonds, 20% Cash (ER 0.7)
I have prepared the following and wanted to seek your advice if I am on right track here!
Fidelity Taxable Account
25% FTEXX (Fidelity Municipal Money Market)
25% FSTFX (Fidelity Short-Intermediate Municipal Fund)
25% FLTMX (Fidelity Intermediate Municipal Fund)
25% ACWI (iShares MSCI ACWI Index Fund)
X ray shows about 25% Stocks, 50% Bonds, 25% Cash (ER - 0.35)
I could move to Vanguard and put all of that in VTMFX (.12) and call it a day but stuck with Fidelity for now as all 401K, IRA, Taxable accounts are together and like the simplicity in life by having to worry about one credit union and one brokerage for all our needs.
