Young Investor - New Job - Help Choosing 401k Portfolio
I recently started invested about 2 years ago and I am still new to this world, but eagerly willing to learn. I have recently become able to invest via the company 401k program. I have the option for both a traditional and/or roth contribution. I would like to keep with a goal towards a 3-fund portfolio. Any help in deciding which funds to invest in would be helpful. Also, any help in determining whether I should be investing in either a traditional vs. the roth would be helpful as well. I expect to be in a higher tax bracket before retirement.
Emergency funds: Yes
Debt: No debt
Tax Filing Status: Single
Tax Rate: 25% Federal, 5.1% State
State of Residence: Massachusetts
Desired Asset allocation: 80% stocks / 20% bonds
Desired International allocation: 16% of stocks
My current portfolio only includes a Rollover IRA (20k) and a Roth IRA (10k) which were rolled over from a previous employer. These are invested in a 3-fund portfolio style with Fidelity. To date this year, I have invested 8168.93 to the 401k which was rolled into the IRA accounts.
The website the company uses does not show expense ratios so I will have to reach out to obtain that information if necessary.
